Company History
Booths Electrical began trading back in 1994 then known as Fits Distribution, established by Keith Booth an Phil Turner to provide technical and distribution services for a revolutionary Apple Mac imaging product, Live Picture developed by Bruno Delean and produced by FITS Imaging of Toulouse France.
In 1999 the partnership between Fits Distribution Limited and Live Picture Inc. parted and Fits diversified into a logistics company handling rapid parts distribution across Europe for companies such as Symbolic Science and Artline Solutions, a sister company providing IT solutions to the pre-press industry.
In 2005 Fits Distribution changed direction again and moved into Electrical Contracting. Keith Booth, a time served electrical & electronics engineer manages the Electrical business. Keith served his apprenticeship in the 1980's at a local kitchen manufacturers called Thomas Eastham Kitchens.
The company traded as ElecLocal for a number of years and was part of a national franchise network. Keith Booth through Booths Electrical provided technical support to over 100 independent franchised electrical and plumbing businesses whilst also managing the Lancashire based NICEIC electrical contractors. Keith served on Local Services board of directors as Technical Director until 2009 when the ElecLocal network was disbanded.
